Hope and Help for Hepatitis C

CommUnityCare provides Hepatitis C care and treatment at our North Central and Southeast Health & Wellness Center. We are dedicated to providing the best care for your chronic Hepatitis C patients with or without cirrhosis. At the Hepatitis C clinic, we have a team who takes the time to listen and thoroughly understand your patient’s Hepatitis C issues and concerns. We tailor the treatment options with the newest direct acting antiviral agents, including interferon-free therapy for 12-24 weeks with cure rates of 90-100%. You can trust our staff to collaborate and offer your patients the best possible outcomes, safety and service.

The Hepatitis C care team will work with patients to review all treatment options and choose the treatment that best suits patients’ needs with the goal of achieving a cure. There are many patients in our community who simply cannot afford the costs due to being uninsured or underinsured. The Hepatitis C clinic provides a haven of support from caring professionals and the opportunity to receive free medications through the Pharmacy Assistance Program.

The CDC estimates that 3.2 million people in the U.S. have Hepatitis C with approximately 75% of those infected being baby boomers born between 1945 and 1965. The CDC recommends testing for Hepatitis C as early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent liver damage, cirrhosis, liver cancer and other complications.

Current CommUnityCare patients who have a primary care provider may obtain a referral to the Hepatitis C clinic to receive an evaluation and possibly treatment.
