Taking care of kids is not easy. From knowing when to start solid foods to figuring out what to do when your child Life gets busy. Between work, school, family responsibilities, and everything else on your schedule, finding time for a doctor’s appointment isn’t always easy. 

That’s why CommUnityCare Health Centers offers video visits through MyChart. Whether you’re feeling under the weather, need to follow up with your provider, or have a health concern that doesn’t require an in-person visit; a video visit lets you receive care wherever you are.  

What Is a Video Visit? 

A video visit is a secure medical appointment that takes place using your phone, tablet, or computer. You’ll meet with a provider through a live video call, giving you the opportunity to discuss your symptoms, ask questions, and receive care without traveling to the clinic. 

Many common health concerns can be addressed through a video visit, making it a convenient option for patients who qualify. 

If you’re experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. 

Scheduling a Video Visit Is Easy

You can schedule a video visit directly through your MyChart account in just a few simple steps. 

  1. Log in to your MyChart account through the app or website. 
  2. Select Schedule an Appointment. 
  3. Choose the reason for your visit, such as Primary Care, a Sick Visit, or another available appointment type. 
  4. Answer a few questions so we can match you with the appropriate provider and visit options. 
  5. If a video visit is available, select the Video Visit option. 
  6. Choose an available appointment time that works for you and confirm your appointment. 

            Once your appointment is scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation in MyChart. 

            Joining Your Video Visit 

            When it’s time for your appointment, simply log in to MyChart, open your Appointments, select your scheduled video visit, and click Begin Visit. 

            Before your visit starts, make sure your device has a working camera, microphone, and a reliable internet connection.
