August 25, 2026
CommUnityCare Health Centers was recently recognized with the Pinnacle Award for Electronic Health Record (EHR) Satisfaction at the ARCH Collaborative Summit, honoring the organization for achieving exceptional physician and nurse satisfaction with Epic.
The ARCH Collaborative, led by KLAS Research, is a global initiative that brings health care organizations together to measure, understand and improve the electronic health record experience. The Pinnacle Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate outstanding performance in creating an EHR environment that supports clinicians, reduces frustration and helps enhance the delivery of patient care.
The recognition reflects a collaborative, organization wide effort to improve the way clinicians interact with Epic and ensure the EHR effectively supports their work. At CommUnityCare Health Centers, clinical, operational and information technology teams have worked together to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen governance and incorporate feedback from the clinicians who use the system every day.
“This recognition reflects the commitment our teams have made to continually improve the clinician experience and ensure our technology supports, rather than gets in the way of, the important work of caring for our patients. By listening to our clinicians and bringing teams together around shared goals, we have been able to make meaningful progress in how we use Epic across CommUnityCare,” said Dr. Karen Welch, Vice President, Health Informatics.
As part of the ARCH Collaborative Summit, Dr. Karen Welch, vice president of Health Informatics, and Heather Hosking, senior director of Epic Operations, presented a breakout session highlighting the journey CommUnityCare has taken to improve EHR satisfaction. The session explored the strategies, governance practices and cross-functional collaboration that have helped drive improvements across the organization.
The summit also provided an opportunity for CommUnityCare leaders to connect with health care organizations from across the country, exchange ideas and learn from emerging approaches to improving the clinician experience.
The Pinnacle Award recognizes the continued efforts of CommUnityCare teams to strengthen the tools and systems that support clinicians in delivering high-quality care. By investing in technology, collaboration and continuous improvement, CommUnityCare is working to create a better experience for its care teams and, ultimately, the patients and communities they serve.
