Walk-In Care


We know that sometimes you need prompt attention that can’t wait for a scheduled appointment. CommUnityCare offers walk-in acute primary care services at two convenient locations.

Hancock Walk-In Care and Southeast Health and Wellness Center’s Walk-In Clinic were designed to deliver same-day acute care services.

Our goal is to provide immediate care services in support of your home clinic by accepting overflow patients.

  • Family Medicine
  • Cough, cold or sore throat
  • Fever or flu symptoms
  • Vomiting
  • Ear infection
  • Cuts, bumps and sprains
  • Twisted or sprained ankle
  • General wound care
  • Minor skin rash
  • Mild asthma
  • Basic laboratory testing
  • Minor procedures including toenail removal
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Walk-in clinics do not offer scheduled appointments, and it does not perform routine immunizations, physicals, or disability paperwork. 

Monday through FridayNormal Business Hours

If you are ill or have a minor injury during normal business hours, please contact your CommUnityCare primary care provider. If that office cannot get you in that day, they will refer you to one of our two walk-in locations.

After-Hours and Weekends
For after-hours or weekend illnesses or minor injuries, CommUnityCare patients may go to either the Hancock Walk-In Care or the Southeast Health and Wellness Center Walk-In Clinic to receive care for an acute but non-emergency need. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Our goal is to help you avoid unnecessary trips to the emergency room.

If you have a significant headache, chest pain, severe abdominal pain, severe bleeding, suspicion of a broken bone, or other severe medical care please call your medical provider during business hours, call 911, or go directly to an emergency room for care.

  • Pediatric patients 6 months or older and adult patients may use the services of the walk-in clinic.
  • Walk-in services are available to insured and uninsured patients.
  • Prescription Benefit for MAP and Sliding Fee Scale Patients. 
  • We do not turn anyone away whether they are a CommUnityCare patient or not. 
  • If we are at capacity, a nurse will meet with you to see whether you need immediate care. 
  • If we cannot see you today, we may schedule an appointment for you at another clinic or recommend other options.
